Miracle Filled Week (Week 64)

Dear Everyone,

This week was a miracle filled week. The coolest thing for us is that week had 5 investigators at church. All five will have baptismal dates and be baptized (fingers crossed) here in the next transfer. Yannick, is doing really well and is loving the gospel. He is superstitious about life and people coming after him and things; but as we are teaching we have the ability to show him that with God and His light, there is really nothing that we need to worry about; even with the problems that will come into our lives. And he has really taken to that. His baptismal date is the 31 of January. We also have Fabian and Julie. Julie has a baptismal date for the 24 of January and is doing very well understanding with her mind, and applying with her heart. She is also helping us in teaching Fabian. Fabian has a little longer of a process because of his excommunicated status, so we haven’t given him a date yet, but he is ready for baptism. He has truly shown a change of heart. It is a real blessing to be apart of his “re-conversion”. We also have the Joseph family. They are our landlords. They love the Book of Mormon and loved church. The members went crazy on fellowshipping. They will never be without friends in this church. Something funny that Mr. (Brother) Joseph said talking about 2 Nephi 2:22-25, “I never thought that these things would be written in a book of scripture.” He loves it. They will have a date in the present future. It is definitely a good time to be a missionary here in Petit Bourg. The people here are more than ready.
I don’t really know what else to say than to bear my testimony of this work and of this gospel. Something we (me and elder glover) have been talking about is truth. Pure truth. Truth will not change with opinion. Truth will not change at all. Pure truth comes from God. Pure Religion, and Pure Science is Pure Truth. And I know that this gospel is true. Without a doubt. How can I say that? How am I sure that not one iota is false? Well, to tell you the truth I don’t. That is called Faith I guess. But what I have asked in fervent prayer, I know to be true. And if the things I know to be true are true; well…everything just falls into place doesn’t it? Family and friends, brothers and sisters, moms and dads (yes plural), nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, grand parents and great grand parents…I know that what I am doing is the work and the will of God. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lords one and only true church on the earth. And if you don’t know why it is important that we have His church on the earth, or why church or religion is important; wait 8 months til I get home, or call the missionaries: they can help. I know that He lives and loves us. He has a plan for us. It is plain and simple. Let us follow it. I leave these things with you in the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior and yours, Amen.
