Last One (Week 87)

Dear Family,

There was supposed to be a tropical storm this morning, but it didn’t show up on time. It is happening right now…Don’t worry it is just a lot of rain and thunder. 😉

This week was a good week, we had a chance to really expand ourselves. We had hard times this week and we pushed through them as most good missionaries do. But we did come out a little broken, beaten and scared (not literal). I know that through the hard times that the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ is there to protect us from harm, but also to heal us if harm has been done (aka the enabling and redeeming power of the Atonement). And I am a better me because of it. And that is the reason we are here! To prove to God the Father and His Son that we will be exactly obedient in the hard times as well as the good. Of course, we are not perfect (yet), and we need to repent, which is just a fact of a fallen life. I know that the Lord loves us and is with us through the days of sunshine and smiles, and He is with us especially in the times of storm and sorrow. I know that as we put our will on the altar and say, “Lord, I will do what you want me to do, and I will go where you want me to go” WE WILL NOT FAIL. Sure we will get a bad grade on a test, sure we will not get a job we wanted, sure the little things in life, and maybe some bigger things won’t go your way. No failure ever need be final. I know that that is true. 🙂

Some news for the new transfer, I will be getting another tahitian! His name is Elder Moux (pronounced Moox). I am excited to work with another tahitian. He will be my third. He will also be my last companion. I am on my last transfer! It is pretty crazy. Today we had a fun BBQ with some members and the missionaries. We also went on a little hike. Killed a lizard. Mission will split in a week along with a new president. Fun stuff.

Well, love you all and next week!
